About Bearna Golf Club

Located in the West of Ireland, Bearna Golf Club is in a highly scenic area, with commanding views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands. It was carved out of a typical Connemara landscape of granite rock, bog, gorse and heather. The result is a challenging course of outstanding quality and unique character that has been rated by Kevin Markham in his book ‘Hooked’ as the best in the area. This west of Ireland golf course is situated in Corboley, half way between Bearna and Moycullen, and until recent times was a solely Irish speaking area. The name means the round hill of the milking place.
