About Sanquhar Golf Club

Sanquhar is situated on the undulating fields of the Barr Farm on the right bank of the River Nith. Lying well above the bed of the river itself, the course demands a view of great beauty in all directions. To the East the town of Sanquhar, with its ancient ruined castle at the southern end, stands out before a background of typical Southern Upland scenery where rolling hills rise to the massive Lowtheres to the South East. The clubhouse and first tee face directly towards Glenmaddie and the upper reaches of the Euchan Valley. All in all, this is a challenging course amid stirring panorama.
