About the Club: Established in 1921, Tredegar and Rhymney Golf Club was opened officially on the 6th June 1925 as a 9 hole golf club. It is situated between Rhymney and Tredegar in S Wales,close to the A465. The course was officially opened as an 18 hole golf course on the 5th July 2003 after being given help to extend the course with a sportlot grant. The course was opened by Mr Paul Mayo of Newport Golf Club, the British Amateur Champion 1987. It is a 5,316 yard, 18-hole, par 67 course, providing a stern test of golfing prowess along with stunning views over the mountains, down the Rhymney Valley, with the Brecon Beacons in the distance Tredegar and Rhymney Golf Club is central to golf in Mid-Wales.
