Belek, on Turkey's Mediterranean coast near Antalya, is one of golf's great value stories. In the space of a couple of decades a stretch of pine forest was turned into a resort with more than a dozen championship courses, most within a ten-minute transfer of each other and of the all-inclusive five-star hotels.
The pitch is simple: high-quality golf, guaranteed sunshine for most of the year, and packages — flights, luxury all-inclusive hotel, and a round a day — at prices that undercut almost anywhere in western Europe. For a society tour or a group of friends, it is very hard to beat.
The courses are laid out through mature umbrella pines and eucalyptus, several designed by or branded with big names (Montgomerie, Faldo, the PGA), and the concentration means you can play a different top course every day without a long drive.

Good to know
When to go
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are ideal. Winter is mild and cheap; midsummer is hot, so play early. Belek's courses are busiest — and priciest — over the spring and autumn peaks.
All-inclusive packages
The Belek model is a flights + luxury all-inclusive hotel + golf package. It is exceptional value and takes the hassle out of planning — most hotels have their own or partner courses and arrange transfers and tee times.
Getting around
You barely need to: most courses are within 5–15 minutes of the resorts and hotels run golf shuttles. A car is optional.
Good for groups
The concentration of courses, all-inclusive hotels and low cost make Belek the go-to for society tours and larger groups. Book the marquee courses (Montgomerie, Carya) early in season.
